Nicole Weibel, Assistant Director Roeper Summer Day Camp
Nicole has been at Roeper Summer Day Camp since 2007 when she started as a field activity counselor. Over the years she has held various roles at camp including activity counselor, Special Activities Coordinator, and now Assistant Director. Her favorite activities at camp include campus-wide Capture the Flag and our end of summer Carnival. Nicole loves Roeper Summer Day Camp because “what makes our camp so special is the familiar faces we see year to year at camp. It is wonderful to watch kids grow up in our setting and then see them become mature leaders for us as CITs and counselors.” During the school year, Nicole is a Stage I (pre-k) teacher at The Roeper School.

Camp Counselors

The Leadership Team is assisted by a staff of approximately 95 trained and experienced camp counselors selected based on their interest in education, camp experience and, above all, their ability to understand and work with children. Staff consists of Roeper School faculty, teachers from other schools, college students and high school students. All activities are taught by counselors experienced in their field- several have been at Roeper Summer Day Camp for many summers.
All staff members undergo a background check and are CPR certified.

Counselors-in-Training (CIT)

Counselor-In-Training (CIT) positions are available for students ages 14 to 16. This is a volunteer program that allows students to fulfill community service requirements. Directed by Head Counselors, CITs learn how to interact with, care for and supervise children through hands-on experience. CITs are assigned to work with camper groups at various age levels throughout the summer.
