Mitch Master, Summer Stock Theatre Co-Director
Mitch has been the Co-Director of the Roeper Summer Stock Theatre since it's start in 2002. He is the Director of The Performing and Visual Arts at the Frankel Jewish Academy. Mitch was the recipient of the Clarence Award for Best Actor in a Musical for the 2015 season, starring in the role of Max Bailystock in The Producers and in the 2017 season, starring in the role of Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof at the Grosse Pointe Theatre. In his distinguished career, Mitch has directed more than 80 musical/drama theatre productions and performed in more than 45 stage productions. He has studied at The New Actor's Workshop, attended Broadway Teachers Workshop for the past ten years in New York City, and spent two years gaining invaluable experience in film/TV in Los Angeles. Mitch has a B.S. in Advertising and Public Relations with a minor in Theatre from Grand Valley State University. Mitch has taught and directed youth theatre programs at Bloomfield Players, The Community House, Cranbrook Theatre School, Detroit Country Day School, Seaholm High School, Birmingham Public Education, Cranbrook Schools, UCLA's "Bruin Kids" in Los Angeles, Marvin L. Winans Academy of the Performing Arts in Detroit, and founded Village "Youth" Players.
Dan Greig, Summer Stock Theatre Co-Director
Dan started with the Roeper Summer Stock Theatre as the Music Director in 2002 and the following year bcame a Co-Director. He is currently Director of Music Ministry at St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church in Rochester Hills, where he directs and oversees an active music program. He has been Music Director for more than 50 youth and adult musicals in the Detroit area including The Community House in Birmingham, Ann Arbor Civic Theatre, and more. Professional credits include Music Director at the Gem and Century Theatres for The Marvelous Wonderettes, and Sister's Christmas Catechism. University credits include Music Director for Hairspray, and Batboy at the Bonstelle Theatre (Wayne State University), and Avenue Q at the Boll Family YMCA (University of Detroit Mercy). Dan holds a Bachelor of Music in Education and a Master of Music in Conducting from Wayne State University. He is on the faculty at the University of Detroit Mercy, where he conducts the University Chorale and is a vocal coach.
